Falling on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month when the moon is at its brightest and roundest, Mid-Autumn Festival (colloquially known as Mooncake Festival) is one of the most important festivals for the Chinese community around the world. Popularised during the Song dynasty, Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations have evolved with time to include modern adaptions of traditional practices. Rediscover the origins, legends, and customs of this ancient festival at our Mid-Autumn Festival exhibition!

The exhibition will be available at at Library@Chinatown from 1 - 30 September 2021.
