Wan Qing Mid-Autumn Festival 2026 @ Lights by the Lake 2026
In partnership with Jurong Lake Gardens and NParks as part of Lights by the Lake 2026 happening from 19 – 27 September 2026, Wan Qing Yuan is bringing its signature Mid-Autumn celebrations to the Chinese Garden, with a myriad of fun and exciting activities to celebrate Chinese arts, culture and heritage in Singapore.
Visitors can enjoy a vibrant line-up of free cultural experiences, including a self-guided stamp rally where they can collect exclusive stamps inspired by iconic landmarks around the garden, storytelling sessions in English and Mandarin, and travelling exhibitions. There will also be a variety of hands-on activities at the Bonsai Garden, including lantern making, hanfu dress-up and photography, heritage discovery activities, multi-layered stamp printing and more! With experiences for all ages, the festival invites everyone to immerse themselves in the rich traditions of Mid-Autumn through interactive and family-friendly activities.
Stamp Rally Activity
Xiao Qing's Special Delivery: Chinese Garden Stamp Rally

Join Xiao Qing on a stamp rally adventure as she embarks on a special delivery mission inspired by the Legend of Madame White Snake. Visit key locations of Chinese Gardens and collect landmark stamps as the story unfolds. Complete the rally to receive an additional special keepsake of your own! Redemption only available on 19, 20, 25, 26 and 27 September 2026 at the Bonsai Garden from 6.30pm – 9.30pm.

Pick up a free activity booklet to discover more about the Mid-Autumn Festival for the little ones! Join Uncle Ting to learn more about the legend of Chang’e and popular customs associated with this festival through a series of fun activities, including lantern making! Mid-Autumn Festival: A Taste of Reunion travelling exhibition highlights the spirit of the Mid-Autumn Festival and its cultural significance on family reunion and kinship love, featuring information about the mooncake moulds and artisanal mooncake makers of Singapore. Visitors can also pick up props available at the exhibition and snap some fun shots!
Wan Qing Yuan: A Journey Through History and Heritage – Travelling Exhibition

Did you know that Wan Qing Yuan was originally known as the Bin Chan House? Or that the villa once served as the residence of prominent local figures and has witnessed significant historical events? This exhibition offers an opportunity to explore Wan Qing Yuan's role in history and its place within the the heritage of Balestier.
Visitors can also walk away with a multi-layered stamp print postcard of Wan Qing Yuan that they can create themselves from 19, 20, 25, 26 and 27 September 2026 at the Bonsai Garden!
