Celebrate reunion, heritage and community at Wan Qing Mid-Autumn Festival 2025 @ SCCCI, a festival weekend brought to you by the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCCI) and Wan Qing Yuan.
Step into the spirit of togetherness and enjoy a weekend of hands-on activities and cultural experiences as families can take part in festive crafts, games, storytelling, and lantern riddle guessing or enjoy music and dance performances inspired by the legendary story of Emperor Tang visiting the Moon Palace.
Add a touch of tradition to your experience by dressing in hanfu and exploring the SCCCI grounds. Capture memorable photos against the elegant Chinese architecture or among the vibrant guppy lantern installation created in celebration of SG60 and the Mid-Autumn Festival. Take a break to sample tea and mooncakes or discover unique treasures at the Creative Marketplace. The festive mood continues with live singing performances by local artists including Little Band Plus, Jenix Ee and Jurine Chia, filling the grounds with music and community spirit.
Journey deeper into heritage through interactive exhibitions throughout the weekend to learn more about the Mid-Autumn Festival, the legacy of SCCCI, and the history of Wan Qing Yuan, shedding light on the historical contributions of the Chinese communities to Singapore’s nation-building journey.

Celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival and Singapore’s 60th nation building with “Guppy Glow”, a captivating lantern installation that brings together tradition, nostalgia, and national pride. Inspired by the colourful and lively guppy, the installation symbolises vibrancy, adaptability, and unity in diversity which are values at the heart of Singapore’s identity.
For generations, the guppy fish has been a familiar sight in homes, community ponds, and childhood memories. Its dazzling variety of colours reflects our nation’s multicultural harmony, while its agility mirrors Singapore’s dynamic spirit over 60 years of progress.
Visitors can enjoy the colourful lanterns, where light and vibrant displays create a joyful celebration of the past, present, and future. The SCCCI will also be adorned with colourful lanterns, complementing the guppy lantern installation and adding to the festive Mid-Autumn atmosphere.
The installation will be on display at the SCCCI’s outdoor landscape from 22 September to 10 October 2025, from 10am to 6pm daily, and extended hours till 9pm on 27 & 28 September 2025.

Presented by music collective Gildon & Friends and dance collective Wu Juan, this 30-minute segment showcases the beauty of Chinese music and dance, celebrating the richness of tradition and artistry. The highlight of the programme is a music and dance piece with music adapted from the ancient pipa classic The Moon High Above. The piece draws inspiration from the legendary tale of Emperor Tang’s visit to the Moon Palace, expressed through graceful dance and live ensemble music.

Join us At the Chinese Restaurant: Memories and Traditions, to discover objects from local Chinese restaurants that tell the story of Chinese dining culture in Singapore.
Are you a restaurant owner or from a family that run/used to run a Chinese restaurant or eatery? Perhaps you have cherished memories and items from your favourite Chinese restaurants in Singapore? On behalf of the National Heritage Board, Wan Qing Yuan invites the donation of historically significant items that are related to Chinese Restaurants in Singapore for our National Collection.

Teochew Mooncake Sampling Booth by Thye Moh Chan

“Mid-Autumn Festival: A Taste of Reunion” highlights the spirit of the Mid-Autumn Festival and its cultural significance on family reunion and kinship love, featuring information about the mooncake moulds and artisanal mooncake makers of Singapore in this travelling exhibition. Visitors can also pick up props available at the exhibition and snap some fun shots in the foyer.

Did you know that Wan Qing Yuan was originally known as the Bin Chan House? Or did you know that the villa once served as the residence of prominent local figures and has witnessed significant historical events? This exhibition offers an opportunity to explore Wan Qing Yuan's role in history and its place within the broader context of the Balestier precinct's heritage. Visitors can also walk away with a multi-layered stamp print postcard of Wan Qing Yuan that they can create themselves!
