Launched on 8th June 2012, Remembering Dr. Sun Yat Sen was the second special exhibition organised by the Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall. This exhibition was launched by Ms. Sim Ann, Senior Parliamentary Secetary, Ministry of Communications and Information & Ministry of Education with a focus on the dfferent ways and means by which the Chinese communities in Singapore and the Malay Peninsula commemorated Dr. Sun Yat Sen and the 1911 Revolution between 1912 and 1942. The exhibition also marked the first collaboration between the Memorial Hall and various community groups such as the Chung Shan Association and the United Chinese Library.

This exibition showcased a total of 30 rare artefacts, many of which were on loan from local collector, Mr Tan Lai Huat. The key artefacts on display included a wooden plaque made  in 1845 bearing the words "Xiang Yi Guan" on loan from the Chung Shan Association; a marriage certificate bearing the "Five-colour flag" of the Republican China; a Chinese New Year greeting card with the words "Bo Ai"; letters bearing the portrait of Dr. Sun Yat Sen as well as a commemorative phone card produced by the United Chinese Library in the 1980s.
