Perak and Ipoh have been described as hotbeds of revolutionary activities. The speaker will share the story of Dr. Sun's key supporters there who faithfully helped him to attain his dream to modernise China by raising funds and fans. Tin mine workers along with rubber tappers, shop keepers, prostitutes and others in supporting trades parted with their hard earned income to buy a share in Dr. Sun's dream of economic livelihood for the people.

Talk will be delivered in English. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. No registration is required.

Speaker: Ms Chan Sue Meng, Descendant of Lee Guan Swee, Vice Chairman of Ipoh Tongmenghui Branch
